Dalton L. is a film critic-columnist based in Bombay, with almost a decade of experience in music and film journalism. He is presently writing a book on film grammar and is making his debut as a filmmaker.Dalton L. is a film critic-columnist with “The Film Street Journal”. He started his journalistic career almost a decade ago as the associate-editor of India’s premier music magazine, “Raga To Rock”. He has written for a variety of publications, including “The Times” and “The Hindu” and is also the editor-publisher of a one-time, slim, black-and-white film magazine, “Maverick”.
Years ago, he was the music judge of the prestigious Mahatma Gandhi University, down south.
He has vast experience in digital film production; is well-connected in the Indian music and film industries; and has organized a highly successful Do-It-Yourself film school with K.B. John (FTII – directing) and Kumar Dave (dialogue writer-associate director, “Lagaan”).
Presently, he is writing a book on film grammar and is also making final preparations for his film directorial debut.
